Animoto Podcast

Our school currently has links with a cluster of schools in Delhi through the British Council’s UKIERI (UK-India Education Research Initiative) programme. At the moment, we are piloting a video podcast project with three school whereby students exchange audio questions (MP3s) and then create a video podcast in response. Here is a basic example:

In the first instance, we swap audio files by posting them to the British Council’s E-Language’s site. Then, the students download the files and edit them using Audacity and/or Garageband. Finally, they must find images to accompany their podcast – Garageband is the best application for video/image podcasting. They seem to enjoy it – I am trying it out on all my Year 9 classes as they deteriorate into post-SAT lethargy.

Thanks for posting this Zek. Please let us see some one the Year 9 outcomes. It would be good to include details of the SOW and how you are assessing the work.
    Thanks again
